On Saturday April 28th at Basketball Stadium at Elliniko (Poseidonos ave. at Old airport of Elliniko, 1st stop at Agios Kosmas) during "IRON CHALLENGE", the International Greek kick boxing World Champion Iron Mike Zambidis will fight again in greek fields and will face the international well known Syrian-Austrian champion Fadi Merza!
In this greatly expected fight, Iron Mike will defend the World Title King of the Ring in a very breath-taking fight against Syrian/Austrian Fadi Merza.
Fadi Merza is from Syria, living and working in Austria, and he is a tough, ruthless and explosive athlete with the nick name "The Beast". He has in his possession the impressive track record of 123 wins in 153 fights and 49 KOs, while in 2011he won the World Title of World Kickboxing Association (WKA).
It is noteworthy that in 2009, he fought in the tournament of Muai Thai in Thailand in honor of the King of Thailand.
Fadi Merza is rated among the top 10 of athletes worldwide in his category and challenged Iron Mike claiming for the World Title of King of the Ring in 71kg!
What makes this fight unique, is that in case of victory of Iron Mike, the Greek World Champion will win the SUPER WORLD TITLE and the white belt that Mike Tyson holds. The organization IRON CHALLENGE is part of the organizations World Series Championships, which take place around the world and the holders of the SUPER WORLD TITLE will fight until March of 2013 for the title SUPER WORLD CHAMPION.
In IRON CHALLENGE 6 kick boxing fights will take place with Greek athletes, with major highlight the big fight of Iron Mike Zambidis. The organization will last 3 hours and will be combined with side musical events which will offer to the audience an unforgettable night.
It is noteworthy that IRON CHALLENGE takes place with the support of ANT1.
