Mike Zambidis celebrates the Olympic Day by taking part in Marathona’s afforestation
Our World Champion, took part in the afforestation that was organized by the Hellenic Olympic Academy (H.O.A.) on June the 23rd for the celebration of the "Olympic Day", at the starting point of the Marathonian Route, at Marathonas, Attica in Greece.
This action was part of the 1st Panhellenic Program "Afforestation and Athleticism" organized by H.O.A. at various districts in Greece, aiming to establish the correlation among athletic activities and environmental consciousness.
Except for Iron Mike, various Olympic Champions were present, like Pirros Dimas, Pigi Devetzi, Vassilis Polimeros, Dimosthenis Tampakos, Irene Aindili, Petros Galaktopoulos, Kon/nos Kontomanolis, Chrisi Mpiskitzi, the World Champion Maria Polizou as well as the actress Patricia Peristeri.
Hundreds of young students from schools of the Prefecture of Attica were also present and did not miss the chance to surround Mike Zambidis in order get autographs and pictures with him.
