Zambidis flying to Tokyo for the K-1 MAX Finals

After the amazing fight and the great victory against Chahid "The Pitbull" Oulad El Hadj, Iron Mike Zambidis is ready for even more battles at the K-1 MAX Finals!

On Thursday 4th November, Iron Mike and his team will depart from Greece to Tokyo for the K-1 MAX Finals, constituting the only Greek representative, among the 8 best fighters of the world. The fights will take place on Monday 8th November and by winning 3 fights in one day, Zambidis will be declared the K-1 MAX Champion! The Press Conference and Weight-In will take place a day earlier, on Sunday the 7th.

Zambidis' first opponent is the Japanese fighter Yuichiro "Jienotsu" Nagashima, also known for his cross-dressing appearance, who won earlier this year the Japanese K-1 MAX tournament, with 3 KO wins. The winner of this fight, will later face the winner of the other pair, Giorgio Petrosyan (current K-1 MAX Champion) and Albert Kraus, on the same day for the semi-finals.

On his long trip to Japan, Zambidis is accompanied by Babis Papadopoulos (G. Mallios assistant coach), Alexandros Papadionisiou (gymnast), Vaggelis Stamou (doctor), his manager Tonia Fouseki and his supporter and friend Sotiris Tsafoulias, with the hope that on their return they will have the K-1 MAX Championship trophy in their luggage.

Moments before their departure, Mike Zambidis stated: I feel really good. I have done all I had to do during my practice in order to be in an excellent condition on the night of the fights and achieve the highest performance and the best result, living up to the expectations of all those who believe in me.
